How to get the most out of your free trial
The trial lasts 30 days, and most people spend the first week working out how it all fits together. Here is what helps from day one.
1. Add your photos first, tidy up later
The most common mistake is spending 20 minutes on the perfect board name before adding a single photo. Do it the other way round: add your photos on day one and mark the faces on them. The trial gives you up to 20 photos, so think of that as your budget and use it.
2. Play a round before you invite people
Ask a friend, or someone at home, to play one full round with you on your new board. You soon see if the cards are too easy or too hard, or if a photo is not sharp enough. Five minutes of testing saves awkward games later.
3. Clear faces matter more than sharp photos
A slightly blurry photo with well-marked faces beats a sharp photo where every face looks the same. When you mark the faces, ask yourself: "Could someone tell these apart with yes or no questions?" If everyone has brown hair, your opponent is in for a hard time.
4. Mix up your boards
One board of family, one of friends from work, one of your sports team: variety keeps games fresh. If every board looks the same, people play once and forget about it. Make 3 to 5 boards that each feel different and take turns with them.
5. Share early and ask what people think
Share a link to a room with someone in the first few days. What a real opponent tells you is gold. They notice things you miss on your own, like the one card everyone finds in two questions because it stands out too much.
